GENERAL INFORMATION
Rose Clifford RN, LNCC is the Executive Director of Medical Analysis Resources, Inc., a legal nurse consulting firm where she utilizes her more than 20 years of legal nurse consulting experience analyzing complicated medical records for fact, merit and the detection of fraud in medical malpractice, personal injury, criminal and healthcare fraud cases.
Ms. Clifford has experience working both as an in-house nurse consultant to the law firm of Deutsch & Blumberg in Miami, Florida and in an independent LNC practice in rural Bluegrass of Kentucky.
Ms. Clifford has authored more than 40 articles in the field of legal nurse consulting, contributed to seven book chapters (as co-author and author) in Nursing Malpractice, Nursing Home Litigation, Analyzing Medical Records and American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC’s) Business Book for Legal Nurse Consultants. She mentors both new and seasoned legal nurse consultants.
Ms. Clifford is an experienced speaker, who has formally taught since 1996. Her method of teaching is subtle, honest and real. She leads by example working with attorney(s) everyday. She openly shares what works and what does not work.
After years of teaching thousands of nurses LNC theory, Ms. Clifford recognized the need for and created a hands-on Legal Nurse Consulting (LNC) Internship program in which she has personally taught over 195 LNCs to date. She designed the internships in 2000 specifically for legal nurse consultants who wanted a hands-on experience in a genuine legal nurse consulting environment where under expert guidance they safely put theory into practice to understand and handle the realities of LNC practice.
The target audience: nurses interested in the legal field, who are a little fearful of working with attorneys, having difficulty getting started or are novice legal nurse consultants with less than 5 years experience. Past interns have included PhD nurses, directors of nursing, nursing administrators, nurse attorneys and nurse chiropractor as well as clinical and diploma nurses.
In addition, she is the editor of The Medical-Legal News, a national newspaper focused on the needs of legal nurse consultants, attorneys and medical experts.
